How to setup Ubuntu to run Otohits for free website traffic (on Azure)

So short thing short, I happen to use otohits.com again (you know what it is). I do have some credit lying around so thought it's a good time to run the otohits tool on ubuntu, which is really cost-efficient.

Before going forward, you need to understand that even though otohits provides a tool for Linux, that does not mean you can run it in terminal mode. It has to be GUI desktop. The below guide will show you how to enable that for your ubuntu and how to connect.

This guide is written based on Auze VM but it can be applied to any VPS provider if needed. I'm not going over again how to create a VM, assuming you already know how to.

I'm currently using B1s, which is the minimal setup with 1CPU and 1RAM, which cost around $7/monthly. You cannot go any lower, but it's a waste if you go higher as you don't need those resources.

1. Enable xrdp: After creating your VM, you need to log in using CMD for faster updates and install the packages, and xrdp. This page has step by step on how to do that: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/linux/use-remote-desktop

2. Enable RDP port: The important part now is that you need to open port 3389. Login to your Azure portal, click Connection, Add the inbound port rule, and allow port 3389 as below.

Now you can connect, and follow the step from otohits to load the tool and run it. Any questiontion please ask below.
