Steam In-home Streaming Laptops/Desktops cannot see each other

Last week, I've upgraded my rig to RTX 2060 and Ryzen. It allowed me to play even more AAA games that I have been keeping my eyes on. My only problem is that the rig is located in the working office which is far away and isolated from where I usually sit and spend my nights. In the past, I used Splashtop to stream but it has reached its limitation.

Luckily, Steam itself allows users to stream between desktop/laptop within the same network. It's been proven very useful lately. While setting up the connection, I ran into the problem that both my host and remote cannot see each other, meaning that I cannot stream between them.

After researching, I found out that the port 23072/23073 are being blocked and cannot be communicated through. The problem was that I have VMWare installed on my machine. Now, the solution looks pretty clear, you can either uninstall VMware or disable the adapter from VMWare. (same for VirtualBox). I would recommend disabling the adapter since you may need to use VMware later. In order to do that, navigate to:

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network Connections

Now there are some adapters with the prefix VMWare, just right click and disable all of them. See below:

That's it. Just restart your machine and start again. You can now stream your favorite games.
